Keep the Child Within You...!

Keep the Child Within You...!
Why do we as adults forget how to be as a child, running in the wind, paddling in the water, laughing wholeheartedly and enjoying life in the simplest ways...?
Why do we loose that ability to accept differences and forgive so easily and, just 'run' with life...?
Life becomes so complex and involved - we make it that more so but why...?
'Have you ever noticed how children see things differently—oh so simply? Nothing is complicated and involved, plus they bounce back and forgive so easily. They know what they want and let things go, seemingly without remorse and complications.
Why is it that once we reach adulthood, things change?
Everything becomes more complicated then. We find it hard to forgive, let go, and move on—instead, we think too much about things, mull them over, and because of this, they become part of our inner selves. We build walls that will keep us safe while hiding behind masks,1 pretending that we are okay. We also take on board other people’s words, actions, and treatment of us, making them so much part of ourselves that sadly they become entrenched within our psyches, ultimately changing who we are and burying our authentic selves.
But I have great news: this book, Musings of a Blogger [Inspirational Thoughts for Your Life's Journey], will change all of this.
When you immerse yourself within its pages, you will come to realize just how much circumstances and people influence your life, both in negative and positive ways. It’s good news because if you work through the workbook utilizing the tools that are applicable for you, you can begin a journey of self-discovery. You will start to recognize that within yourself is a wonderful, unique human being, and through perseverance, you will find your true self again—your own authentic self! How wonderful is that?'* (c)

Take time out to re-think how you think and what you do each day - ask yourself these questions:-
- how can I simplify my life?
- why can I not bounce back and be like I once was?
- do I really need to be so busy?
- what can I do for myself and what can I do to find joy and fun in life?
- who am I really besides being...  a mother, a father, a wife, a husband, a grandmother, grandfather, sibling, friend, colleague, neighbour?
-why do I hide behind a wall**... a mask***... and;
- how can I 'live' again and be free from my 'adult ness'?
----------------------------
Keep the child within you alive,
do not bury its wonder, joy of life and simplicity down deep.
Keep the child within you, yes strive, strive, too...
find your wonder, cultivate your joy and make time for simplicity,
looking through your inner child's eyes!
