Have You Been Judgmental Today?

Have you been JUDGMENTAL today?

Can you answer that question, is it too hard to admit or are you aware of what you really say?

What does being JUDGMENTAL mean anyway?

According to the Reader's Digest Oxford Complete Word finder (p. 824) the word JUDGE means: form an opinion about; conclude, consider, appraise; act as judge; form a judgement and.... JUDGEMENT means: criticism, censure, disapproval, reproof, condemnation
and ....JUDGMENTAL means: condemning, critical!

All these words imply both a feeling and an assumption about something and someone!
So... think about your thoughts... what have you thought today?
Think about your opinions... what and who have you formed an opinion about today?
Have they been negative or have they been positive?

Think about this for a moment -
Being judgmental is when a conclusion is made about a quality of someone or something - we usually make this conclusion on only one quality -
and...
this dictates what we think or feel about the persons or things whole nature, about ALL their/the other qualities that they/it might have!
So... ultimately the judgment is madeonly based upon one aspect!

Sadly we are all so quick in labeling, criticizing and making judgments, often without thinking about the hurt or damage, that we can do.
So...

Always look at your moccasin tracks first before you speak of another's faults
(Sauk)

Remember everyone is different and in that difference we are ALL unique*
Remember that we have all been on both sides of JUDGMENT...
the giving of it or the receiving it...
the accused and the accuser!

Beware though...
If you JUDGE are you:-
- are you simply subconsciously expressing your own insecurities
- do you feel inadequate, useless, worthless, hopeless...
- are you letting negativity over-shadow your thoughts, feelings and ultimately your words
- are you envious or jealous of another's qualities... possessions... life style, etc., and feel wanting about your own?
- are you seemingly defending yourself, biting back at hurt that has been done to you?

The list of WHY we JUDGE can go-on-and-on!
There can be many reasons as to why we let ourselves engage in this act...
the act of being judgmental.

Hey... it is okay to have your opinions... there are always two sides to a story and it is within your rights to voice these as they are different from judgments but...
voicing opinions and being judgmental can be the same thing as well.

If you voice your opinion and it is about someone or something which is completely baseless...
THAT IS WHEN AN OPINION BECOMES A JUDGMENT!

There is little difference between us all but...
that little difference can make a big difference!

What is that little difference and what about that big difference you ask?

The little difference  is ATTITUDE but...
the big difference is whether that ATTITUDE is POSITIVE or NEGATIVE!

If you find yourself being JUDGMENTAL do not despair!
Become aware and acknowledge your thoughts and feelings - try to do this before you speak - noting the negativity of this behaviour.
This is the KEY!

Picture how would your life be different if you started thinking positive thoughts about those people and things that you encounter -

Let TODAY be the day that you start to:-
 Look for the good...
the positive in everyone you meet!
Start consciously respecting differences and...
People's journey through life and...

Start consciously respecting your difference too!

Do not let yourself be a victim of negative thoughts... remember that they are thoughts not your reality! Do not let them destroy you! Do not let JUDGMENTAL HABITS overtake and bury you within their dark clouds of malice!

We need to realize that everyone marches to their own beat so...
find your own beat and march proudly out of sync with others!

Dear friends

I know how easy it is to JUDGE and there are many reason WHY! But know when it is time to let go and remove all that negativity from your life... let go and become open to love!

Live in peace

Facing Your Fears!

What is FEAR?
A difficult question to answer as to each one of us it means a different thing!

There are FEARS arising from such aspects as...
danger, expectation of pain and physical events, which are natural responses,
but...
what about those PERSONAL ACKNOWLEDGED and UNACKNOWLEDGED FEARS and,
those HIDDEN FEARS?
FEARS that are caused by and from such things as -
 JUDGMENT
OTHERS OPINIONS
INCORRECT THINKING OF 'SELF'
SELF DOUBT
NOT BEING GOOD ENOUGH
BEING WEAK
CHANGE*
THE FUTURE
and...
the LIST  goes on-and-on!

Dear Reader you know what FEARS I mean...
it is those FEARS that you identify with,
it is those FEARS that you keep hidden,
and...
it is those FEARS that are there but NOT ACKNOWLEDGED.

YES, all those FEARS that are within...
those that maybe you keep yourself,
 or...
those that maybe you act upon through such things as...
PROCRASTINATION
KEEPING BUSY
PERFECTIONISM
ANGER
SHYNESS
BULLYING
LOW SELF ESTEEM**

SADLY OUR THOUGHT PATTERNS, INNER IMAGE and ULTIMATELY,
 OUR LIFE,
CAN BE RULED BY ANY ONE OR ALL OF THESE TYPES OF FEARS***

Our INNER IMAGE is the private picture that we have of ourselves,
and...
which reflects OUR OWN thoughts, feelings and actions all of which we mostly keep within.
To hide them we instead put on a MASK****  so as to cope with,
 situations, people,
 and...
 those INNER FEARS!

Our OUTER IMAGE is the public picture that we portray outwardly for others to see.
Mostly this image is so very different from our INNER IMAGE,
and is one that we build upon from childhood and throughout our life**
So sadly we can end up NEGLECTING and IGNORING our INNER SELF,
INSTEAD...
we NOURISH, CARE FOR and TEND this OUTER IMAGE!

WE END UP LIVING BEHIND A WALL and EMPTY INSIDE!

If we live behind this WALL we will find ourselves LIVING WITH and THROUGH our FEARS.
But if we CHOOSE to  BREAK THROUGH this WALL we will instead be able to FACE our FEARS!

Everything you want is ultimately on the other side of FEAR as FEAR OBSCURES our vision,
and we only see our LIMITATIONS!
Be an EXPLORER...
the WORLD is filled with so much WONDER and MAGICAL THINGS.
LIFE is a PROMISE and...
our real VOYAGE OF DISCOVERY lies NOT in HIDING from our FEARS...
or...
seeing with OBSCURED EYES,
but INSTEAD it lies in STEPPING OUT WITH FAITH, CONFIDENCE, BELIEF...
and...
having NEW EYES to SEE!

To STEP OUT we need to ACKNOWLEDGE our FEARS...
RECOGNIZE them,
and
STEP OUT THROUGH what we FEAR going FORWARDS against those contrary beliefs that swirl within our minds....
GO FORWARDS and NEVER TURN BACK,
INSTEAD...
PRESS ON WARDS until you have over-come!
Though this may seen so very difficult at times... if you look inwards to yourself - really look - you will become AWARE of the RESOURCES that you have,
and...
therein lies the POWER...
YOUR POWER...
to OVERCOME YOUR FEARS!

Dear Friends

my wish for you all is to live a fulfilling life. One where you can be your authentic self and live not in fear but in peace... happiness and... LOVE!

Why walk with FEAR when you CAN WALK through it!

May your JOURNEY OF DISCOVERY be FREE of FEAR!
written in love
