Are you like a steam ship plowing your way through the sea of life?
Are you like a steam ship plowing your way through the sea of life?
Do you forge ahead regardless of those around you?
Do people get thrown aside like unwanted scraps, floating... bobbing up and down in the wake and stormy sea that you have left behind?
Do you sail ahead through life leaving a trail of broken lives behind?
Gossip
Innuendo
Jealousy
Lies
Deceit
Stealing
Cheating
Selfishness
Violence ..... this list can go on-and-on!
Are you like this ship sailing full steam ahead through your Journey of Life,
through those crashing waves,
not heeding people's tears, sadness, sorrow and hurt at what you do?
Do you carry on board your ship hurtful ways, cruel words and uncaring attitudes?
Are you immune to the suffering of others or,
just unaware that what you do and say can break a person down and even destroy them?
We all go through times when we are selfish.
We want things for ourselves, both in possessions and the love or attention of others,
but sometimes these,
attitudes,
actions,
words and,
thinking can snowball without us realizing it.
Before we know it this part of our life has gained the upper hand and gradually we become someone that we never intended to be!
Too often we can accept behavior and words that are not OKAY!
We trick our minds and justify them believing that it is the other person or people who are in the wrong!
STOP!
Yes, stop your engines and just let your ship float for a while...
take some time out and reflect!
Have a think of what you say,
do
and how you treat people.
Would you like to be spoken to and treated as you treat others or would you be aghast at what you do?
This is a question that only you can ask and answer.
At some point in our life we need to stand back and take a look at who we are, how we act and what we say.
Life has a habit of creeping up on us and just gets too much.
We lose ourselves in the storms around us and how we act becomes a way of self-preservation...
a way of protection for us.
Hey that is okay!
Seas calm and the storms pass away though sometimes it leaves your life so very different than it was before.
It is IN this time that you can start to pick up the pieces..
reflect and grow and learn!
Life is but a series of links and nobody is the whole chain as each one of us is but a link within it.
Take away one of the links and the chain of life becomes broken.
A team is but a number of players and nobody is the whole team as each of us is but a player within it.
Take away one of the players and the game becomes lopsided.
A orchestra is but a group of musicians and nobody is the whole orchestra as each of us is but a musician within the symphony of life.
Take away one of the musicians and the symphony becomes incomplete!
Yes! We ALL NEED each other!
I need you and you need me!
Regardless of who we are, where we live and what we believe, each of us NEEDS each other!
So let us join hands and become one within the CIRCLE OF LIFE!
